MY ASHANTI QUEEN

I have seen your smile;
Your lips veined in a crescent
And your gaze, a twinkle
Fixing me benumb

My Ashanti Queen
Under your spell I wait
As you weld my heart,
Fusing my hub
To your heart of gold

As you induct me
Upon manifold tales of your glance:
Forlorn and torn
Mournful and lorn

Ribbons of affection
Anchor me aground
Your symphony ringing
In all my being
This queen, to only whom I bow
This my Ashanti Queen
Has placed in my hands

Her heart, the soul of our kingdom
